Shirley Temple learned the lesson of preservation early in life from her mother and her grandmother who had lovingly and carefully saved all her childhood costumes and memorabilia. Throughout her adult life, Shirley Temple continued that tradition, saving prototype and sample models of licensed dolls, as well as other ephemera, created during the 1980s-2000s era. All of the objects - posters, dolls, novelties and more - presented in this catalog have been in the private archives of Shirley Temple from the time of their creation.
