June Ellen Lane of Lake Arrowhead, California lived in a house at the top of a long and winding hill. Her remarkable doll collection peopled every room in the house in cabinets and scenes that were the delight of every visiting collector who made the trip to visit her. Although her collection spanned every category including very rare automata and French bebes, her special love and focus were lady dolls, including the rarest of French poupees, the finest of early English wooden, and superb German paper maches. the extensive collection was sold in a two day auction as was her wish.
